Draft replies to new Gmail emails

Turn new Gmail messages into ready‑to‑send drafts. This workflow filters out noisy or transactional emails, decides if a response is needed, writes the reply, creates a Gmail draft in the original thread, and pings you on Slack to review.

How it works

  • New Gmail email in a selected label/mailbox triggers the flow.
  • Fetch full message details (headers, body, attachments metadata).
  • Get your Notion “Blocked domains” page and check the sender’s domain/email.
    • If blocked, stop early.
  • If not blocked, use AI to classify: REPLY, NO_REPLY, or BLOCK.
    • BLOCK: add the sender to your Notion block list.
    • NO_REPLY: stop with a clear outcome.
    • REPLY: generate a concise, friendly reply with AI, create a Gmail draft in the thread, and DM you on Slack with a direct link.

What you’ll need

  • Gmail connection with access to the target inbox/labels.
  • Notion connection and a page to store blocked domains/emails.
  • Slack connection to receive review notifications.

Customize

  • Choose which Gmail label/mailbox to watch.
  • Adjust the AI instructions for your tone and policy.
  • Change the Notion page used for block‑listing.
  • Pick the Slack user or channel for notifications.
